With our new solar power plant, we have taken an important step towards sustainable production – reducing CO₂ emissions, achieving partial energy self-sufficiency, and caring for the environment.
At Centernorma, we have installed a solar power plant on the roof of our facility, marking a significant move toward greener operations. The project contributes to reducing environmental impact and forms part of our long-term sustainability strategy. The Centernorma Solar Power Plant Project was carried out with the support of non-refundable funds from the Ministry of Infrastructure within the framework of the Public Tender JR SE OVE 2021.
Why solar energy?
Slovenia has great solar potential, which we aim to utilize in the wood industry as well. The new solar power plant enables us to:
- reduce the use of conventional energy sources,
- achieve partial self-sufficiency in electricity,
- lower the carbon footprint of our production.
At Centernorma, we are already preparing a new solar project to further increase the share of renewable energy in our production. By investing in green technologies, we are building a future that combines product quality with environmental responsibility.
