In an interview for Dnevnik, we shared our perspective on wood as a sustainable material of the future and highlighted its environmental, structural, and aesthetic advantages.
We are observing a growing trend in interest in wood as a material and, consequently, in timber construction. This increased interest is reflected primarily in higher demand for glued laminated wood profiles as well as high-quality, certified products for windows, doors, and other demanding wooden solutions. After a temporary decline during the pandemic, demand has recovered, confirming the long-term potential of wood in construction and industry.
At Centernorma, we place special emphasis on sustainability: we primarily use locally sourced wood, FSC- and PEFC-certified materials, ensure 100% utilization of raw materials, and partially supply our energy needs with our own solar power plant. In this way, we promote responsible and efficient wood management, reduce environmental impacts, and contribute to the preservation of natural resources for future generations.
